The Burlington Police Department announced that Captain Gregory Skehan has recently graduated from the 266th session of the FBI National Academy.
There were 222 women and men in the class, who came from eight federal civilian organizations, five military organizations, 48 states, agencies from the District of Columbia, and 20 countries from around the world. The class took place in Quantico, Virginia.
The program is 11 weeks long and demonstrates to selected officers, who attend the class by nomination and invitation only, leadership, fitness training, and advanced communication. Its goal is to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge and cooperation around the world and to improve the administration of justice in agencies and police departments in the United States and abroad.
Skehan is now part of the less than one percent of law enforcement officers in the world who are able to attend this program. He is now eligible to join the FBI National Academy Associates, which is a group of over 15,000 professionals in law enforcement who work to develop higher levels of integrity, cooperation and competency in the community of law enforcement.
Police Chief Michael Kent commended Captain Skehan for his commitment in completing this important program and might look to a poster printing company to create Posters announcing his graduation and joining Deputy Chief Thomas Duffy and Kent in having graduated from the program.
