The Bear Gallery at the Montserrat College of Art will be exhibiting a collection of relics from the archives of the Beverly Historic Society.
The exhibit, titled ‘Through Our Eyes’, will have artifacts of historical significance that link past residents of Beverly with the current surrounding community in the North Shore.
Some of the artists to be featured in the exhibit include Haley Anderson, Remy Washington, Brandon Troelstrup, and Claudia Valenti.
The Bear Gallery is run by students and is designed to better connect professional artists and art students, and to create a sense of community. It is also used as a way to educate students about gallery and curatorial skills. Typical exhibits display the works of emerging student artists and give them an opportunity to show their work to the public. The Bear Gallery office and creative space is located in the basement of the Student Village building.
In addition to support from the college itself, the gallery gets help from The Crane Estate, the Beverly Historical Society, the Cummings Center, and Porter Mill.
There will be a reception for this special exhibit at the Beverly Historical Society on Wednesday, February 25 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The students may turn to local Print companies to help them with the design and printing of Invitations and announcements of this exhibit, and the reception, to the community.Get a Free Quote for Invitations Get a Free Quote for Print
