A Beverly class will introduce a horticultural practice to a new crop of fans this winter.
Bonsai-style horticulture, which originally hailed from Japan, uses pruning, wiring and other techniques to keep full sized trees small. A Bonsai Bar Night will be on offer in the community, and full instruction is included in the ticket price. Old Planters Brewery will host the occasion for the one-hour session, which will work with a popular houseplant.
Once they have purchased some refreshments and settled in, the facilitator will walk the attendees through the steps of planting their new green friend. They will learn how to prune it into their desired shape, all in the company of other local plant lovers. Tips for providing continuing care will be shared, and tickets for the event are $92.55.
