Beverly fans of big rigs will be making tracks for an activity that will put them up close, and even in, some of these oversized vehicles.
Construction and first responder vehicles and other equipment will be in the mix during the Touch a Truck scheduled for Beverly High School. It will provide an interactive experience, and the young and the young at heart will all be welcome.
The attendees will be invited to climb in and on the vehicles, and they can also meet the personnel who use them. As it will be held during “Warrior Weekend”, it will include military apparatus, and there may also be vendors on site to visit.
While the event is intended to be lots of fun, it will also have a serious side. The organizers have requested that everyone who comes out bring along a generous donation of toiletries or non-perishable foods, which will be distributed to those in need by a local food bank. A flyer printing company can Print lists of the items most needed for a donation drive to mail or hand out during an event, along with “stuff the bag” and other materials that make it easy to contribute.
Beverly High School will serve as the venue for this salute to those who keep the community safe, healthy and humming along on May 17th. It will begin at 10:00 am.
