After the last trick or treater has gone home for the night, Beverly’s jack-o-lanterns will be getting one last moment in the spotlight.
New Entry Sustainable Farming Project and Green Beverly will be co-hosting The Great Pumpkin Smash this November. Set to go ahead rain or shine, the event requires registration and will be full of eco-friendly fun.
Households that sign up can drop off their pumpkin at New Entry Farm in the week leading up to the celebration, and the festivities will take place there as well. The agenda includes free admission, and there will be food and beverages available for purchase as well as a small business “village” where everyone can get in some early shopping for holiday season gifts. Live entertainment and hurling, smashing, and squashing of the donated pumpkins will add some extra gourd-related excitement
While the function may be about family fun, it will also raise awareness about composting and living a sustainable lifestyle, and raffles for themed Corporate Gifts and other prizes will round out the day. Print shops can partner with event organizers offering a variety of eco-friendly marketing options in advance of this sort of event.
The 2026 Great Pumpkin Smash will bring Beverly together on Sunday, November 8 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. New Entry Sustainable Farm is located at 779 Cabot Street in Beverly.
