Sidesplitting musical comes to Beverly

Currently playing at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly is Monty Python’s SPAMALOT.

It is a spinoff of the Monty Python and the Holy Grail film, which relates the story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on their journey to find the Holy Grail. The show won a Tony award in 2005 for ‘Best Musical’.

Producer of the show and owner of the North Shore Music Theatre, Bill Hanney, reminds audiences that this show is for adults only, but is certain to provide an evening of laughter for all who attend. Among the departures from the original story are killer rabbits, flying cows, showgirls, and memorable musical numbers.

Hanney added that he is very excited about bringing this show to audiences in Beverly, saying that there is always room in the lineup for a show that appeals to adult audiences only, and this musical certainly fits the bill.

The North Shore Music Theatre also offers enrichment events that are free to audiences. After the performance at 7:30 pm this evening, there will be a discussion open to members of the audience with the actors in the show.

SPAMALOT runs until this Sunday, October 9. The North Shore Music Theatre might benefit from various marketing services to promote the play throughout Beverly and the surrounding communities.
