The DePue Brothers Band will be performing at the Cabot Performing Arts Center in Beverly later this week.
Their show, titled ‘A Magical Grassical Christmas’, celebrates all the traditional favorites of the holiday, with some original songs that will provide much holiday joy for attendees. It will be a combination of bluegrass, rock, jazz, classical, and Renaissance music, with a little bit for each lover of music to enjoy.
The DePue brothers—Jason, Wallace, Alex, and Zach—come from Bowling Green, Ohio and are classical violinists with extensive fiddling credentials, having performed together as a group for 25 years.
At the concert, Mike Munford, the 2013-2014 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Banjo Player of the Year; Marl Cosgrove, the 1995 national flatpicking guitar champion; Philadelphia jazz bass player Kevin MacConnell; and principal timpanist and percussionist of the Philadelphia Orchestra Don Liuzzi will join them in the concert.
President George H. Bush Sr. named them ‘American Musical Family of the Year’ by a Presidential decree in 1989 and they were the subject of a PBS documentary that was aired in 1993.
The performance will be at 8:00 pm this Saturday, December 19. The group and the other entertainers may be working together on publicity for this concert by hiring a local Print company to Print Flyers and other promotional materials that can be distributed across the community.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Print
