The Cabot Theater in Beverly will be hosting a special Christmas celebration next month.
“The Polar Express” will return for its traditional showing. In addition to the screening of the film, there will be games for children with a holiday theme, free milk and cookies, and a visit from Santa Claus. There will also be raffle prizes and The Polar Express Boutique. Such traditions are often promoted throughout the community and beyond with poster printing.
There will be signed Copies of the book, written, and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg. Van Allsburg won the annual Caldecott Medal for illustration of an American children’s picture book in 1986 for the book. He and his wife, Lisa, have been supporters of this tradition on the North Shore for many years.
Proceeds from the event will support the Isabella Rose Marino Endowment Fund which was established in memory of Bella Marino who, at an early age, passed away because of a rare blood disorder. The sponsor of the event will be Mortgage Network along with Warner Bros. Discovery.
All attendees—children and their parents—are invited to wear pajamas for the event to better enjoy this holiday event. Tickets are $20 each and need to be reserved in advance.
The event begins at noon on Sunday December 11 and the movie will start at 1:30 p.m.
