Halloween spooktacular to come to Beverly

The Long Hill Trustees of Reservations will be hosting a Halloween wonderland at Long Hill in Beverly this month.

This will be the second year for the event, which promises to feature some amazing sounds and sights of the season. Jared Bowers, Director of the Trustees, said that a full year is typically required to design the many displays of thousands of lights, over 1,200 carved pumpkins, and other festivities of Halloween. He added that the property spans 114 acres.

Such seasonal events are often promoted throughout a region with Flyers and mailers created by local Print shops to encourage attendance.

There will be a trail through the property with a seasonal theme featuring hundreds of mummies, over 1,000 jack-o-lanterns, music, displays of lights, and elaborate Halloween decorations. Cider and snacks will be available.

This is a family-friendly event. Tickets need to be purchased in advance and are $27 per adult and $10 per child for those between the ages of 3 and 13. Children under the age of two are free. Tickets have a timed entry and attendees are asked to stay no longer than one hour. Parking is available in the fields in front of the yellow farmhouse off Essex Street.

Halloween on the Hill runs through Monday, October 31 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
