Comedic magician to come to Beverly

The Larcom Theatre on Wallis Street in Beverly will be hosting magician Ben Pratt later this month.

Pratt is an award-winning comedic illusionist whose magic show consists of stand-up comedy along with a great deal of illusion and magic in the vein of Penn and Teller. Pratt involves his audience in all his routines, who often have no idea how they are accomplished.

This is a family-friendly show that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Venues such as this theater might consider using mailers created by local printing services to attract people to special evenings like this.

Pratt was at a young age when he fell in love with magic while growing up in a small town in New Hampshire. He was far from a big city and had little access to the props used in magic, but he was never deterred from pursuing his dream of performing tricks and illusions. He has performed at Las Vegas and more locally at Gillette Stadium, Foxwoods, and Mohegan Sun, among other places in New England.

The Larcom Thater is a multipurpose theater in downtown Beverly across from City Hall. The show will be at 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 11. The bar and doors open at 7:00 pm, and tickets range in price from $25 to $29 per person.
