College to offer special classes and discounts
North Shore Community College (NSCC), with campuses in Danvers, Lynn, and Middleton, will be offering a free machinist training program starting this fall.
This machinist training will include instruction in the classroom and hands-on experiences and will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Instruction will take place at Gloucester High School, Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, and Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical High School. Any of these locations is convenient for residents of Beverly who might be interested in such training.
Virtual information sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. and can be arranged by contacting the college. Printing services can be used to promote such classes and the many companies in the area that are hiring for such positions.
The Corporate and Professional Education Division of NSCC will also be offering to members of the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce a voucher for their classes on Microsoft Office, all of which have open enrollment.
Any Microsoft Office course is typically $289, and members can receive a $20 voucher towards a course. Members can also receive a 10 voucher towards a $189 course and a $50 voucher towards the BootCamp course. The vouchers are for courses to be held this winter and the following spring.
