Beverly schedules spring plant swap
Savvy gardeners know plant swapping can be a thrifty way to add to their collection while also providing a chance to meet and learn from their fellow green thumbs, and one of these events will be popping up in Beverly this May.
Obear Park will serve as the location for a plant exchange that will help to add a touch of beauty to the community. A wide selection of plants are expected to be in the mix, and the list will depend upon what the swappers bring.
To take part, the public may bring a pest and disease free plant, and perennials, seedlings and houseplants are all welcome. Each must be labeled, and the first 90 minutes of the activity will be for drop off and set up. Beantrust Coffee Bar will be supplying the java for the day, and it will take place rain or shine. Anyone who chooses a new green friend can take it home with them when they leave.
Swaps and exchanges provide a thrifty option for those working on a budget, and they may also be a lot of fun. A poster printing company may be tasked with preparing a variety of materials that are very effective at spreading the word about a special event.
