People often admire ducks and geese without knowing very much about them; an upcoming Beverly workshop wants to change that.
Booth birders and the general public may enjoy sitting in on “Duck, Duck Goose”, a presentation that will introduce geese, ducks, swans and other waterfowl to a wider audience. It has received support from the Friends of the Beverly Public Library.
Dave Williams, who has 40 years of experience in birding and has partnered with Mass Audubon North Shore to deliver a variety of programming, will facilitate the activity. He will discuss different species commonly seen, their migration patterns, and how to identify them in the field. He will share facts about their lives and how they live on both land and water, and the audience will be able to ask any questions they have.
Birding is a pastime that can be enjoyed by many ages and abilities. This workshop gives attendees a chance to enjoy the activity themselves and learn even more. Copies of handouts and other materials may be prepared for an event by a professional brochure printing company.
