Beverley kids to get baking

Working in the kitchen can be both fun and educational for kids, and Beverly families have been offered the opportunity to register for a workshop that will craft some cute rainbow-themed cupcakes.

Children from the ages of two to eight, along with their parents or caregiver, will be preparing vegetarian cupcakes, and each ticket covers admission for one child as well as the adult who accompanies them. They will be working together, and the ingredients and materials will be provided.

Each of the duos will be walked through the baking and decorating process, with frosting and decorations supplied, including fluffy marshmallows for making clouds. The activity will take place in the morning, leaving the rest of the day free, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

A cooking or baking class can be an enjoyable way for kids to put math and science theories into practice, and reading and following recipes may also help to build literacy skills. Recipe Books and cards can be prepared by Print shops, which may encourage young chefs to spend even more time in the kitchen.

This chance to prepare some sunny cupcakes in the middle of winter will be on offer on Saturday, January 27. It will begin at 9:00 am at Taste Buds Kitchen in Beverly, and will last for one hour.
