Military veterans in Jefferson will have the chance to attend a luncheon in neighboring Metairie next month as the community shows its recognition and appreciation.
The 2026 Military Appreciation Day Luncheon will be welcoming veterans from Jefferson and the surrounding area this March, giving the local community the chance to show their appreciation through good food and company. The event aims to honor the men and women who have worn the uniform and made sacrifices for the good of the nation.
Attendees will get to enjoy a tasty meal in a beautiful setting as part of the event’s proceedings. It will be a chance for the community to come together and support a good cause. Organizers have arranged for Rear Admiral Will Watson of the United States Coast Guard to be the guest speaker at the luncheon. The event is also seeking sponsors from within the community to join Harbor Towing & Fleeting, Navy League Federal Credit Union, and Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home.
The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 18th, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Check-in is at 11:30, and the program will start at noon. The Metairie Country Club in nearby Metairie will host the luncheon. Tickets are available online for $87.07 per guest.
