Jefferson area workshop to share plant propagation tips
Choosing to utilize native plants in the home or commercial landscape offers many benefits, and a Jefferson area workshop will explore how to propagate them in a variety of ways.
Amy Graham, who is the Director of Gardens with Longue Vue Garden, will teach several different plant propagation methods.. These will allow the learners to increase the number of plants they own without having to take any from the wild.
The learners in the session will be able to try their hand at seed saving, rooting cuttings, and other techniques, and the class will take place both inside and outdoors. Light refreshments will be served, and at the end of the activity, each registrant will go home with both a packet of seeds and some rooted cuttings so they can get started right away. The function will run for two hours.
Offering the public an opportunity to participate in learning activities is one way to keep community members engaged and active. Guides can be prepared by area stationery printers to distribute to local households so they will be kept abreast of what is going on in their own home area.
This introduction to the benefits of plant propagation will be held on September 24 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The venue for the afternoon will be located at 7 Bamboo Road in New Orleans.
