Longue Vue House and Gardens is proud to be home to a collection of magnolias, and the leaves of these trees will be utilized during an upcoming Jefferson area workshop.
Parents and kids who attend the venue’s wreath making workshop will learn how to transform a few simple materials into a festive wreath to hang on their front door. Adult tickets start at $45, and each child will need to pay a registration fee of $35 and be accompanied by an adult.
Amy Graham, who is the site’s Director of Gardens, will serve as the facilitator for the session, and all materials that are required for the project will be provided. Refreshments will be served to the group, and while they craft, the attendees will be learning techniques they will be able to draw upon in the future. The class will run for one and a half hours, and the organizers can be reached by phone at (504) 293-4718.
A project made from natural materials may require special care to keep it looking great. A brochure printing company will be able to make useful handouts to distribute during a crafting class.
Longue Vue House & Gardens has scheduled this hands-on workshop for area residents on Saturday, December 10. Everyone who registers is asked to arrive by 1:00 pm.
