Jefferson area offers twist on egg hunt

Jefferson families looking for a safe and friendly event to celebrate Easter will want to leave space in the schedule for next month, as a themed event is coming to the area.

The Hop-A-Trunk Easter Saturday Family Event is on its way to the Jefferson area, providing a place where local families can gather and celebrate warmer weather, family, and new friendships. The gathering will feature an alternative to an egg hunt, with participating families decorating their trunks with themed decor and handing out stuffed Easter eggs to area youth. Printing services are an excellent way to decorate for such events, matching the theme with custom designs.

The event is also an outreach program for local programs and sponsors that want to foster goodwill and build trust within the Jefferson area. Visitors can play games and listen to live music. Children will enjoy access to a bounce house and will have opportunities to win a range of prizes.

Food and beverages will be available for attendees to stay refreshed throughout the afternoon and early evening. Interested parties can contact Michelle Geoffrey for more information about the event.

The Hop-A-Trunk will be held at 2001 Airline Drive in nearby Metairie on Saturday, April 19. The festivities will start at 5:00 PM. Attendance is free, and families can RSVP online.
