Jefferson area dinner to showcase sustainability
Audubon Nature Institute has developed its “Gulf United for Sustainable Fisheries” ( G.U.L.F.) program, and its supporters, stakeholders and members of the public who are interested in learning more are invited to come to a special dinner that will be held near Jefferson.
Planned for late September, the meal will showcase a selection of shellfish and other food sourced from the Gulf while raising funds to help support the various G.U.L.F. initiatives. While they enjoy their meal, the guests will be able to mingle and learn more about how this program is working to ensure that this body of water will continue to be able to provide food, recreation and wildlife habitat into the future.
The menu for the evening, which will be released as the date approaches, will be made up of six courses and will include pairing of wine. Guests are encouraged to dress up, but ties are not required. The seafood will all be fresh, and will have been harvested using sustainable methods. Pamphlets produced by a brochure printing company can be distributed during this sort of occasion to help those who attend learn more about the organizer and the work it is doing, both locally and further afield.
This feast for the seafood lover will be held on September 20 at 1 Canal Street in New Orleans. The doors will open at 6:30 pm.
