Event set to have Jefferson tails wagging
An event is on tap that will give Jefferson dog lovers something to howl about this summer.
The Lagniappe Classic Dog Show will bring over 1,000 dogs together for an event that will include 192 breeds, and this will be combined with lots of other canine-themed fun to create an occasion dog lovers can really enjoy.
The show will include a selection of categories, and Best on Show, Reserve Best in Show and Best Lagniappe Puppy awards will all be presented. There will be many different shows for the public to spectate, and there will also be activities for local dog owners.
Along with the judging and others shows, the attendees can visit the different vendor booths and displays, and in the lobby, dogs that have been registered with the AKC can be tested to see if they can qualify to receive a ‘Canine Good Citizen’ certificate. Kids who would like to learn more about dog shows can participate in the Junior Summer Clinic.
Show attendees are asked to bring along a donation of pet food, which will be collected and distributed to animal shelters in the area. Judging sheets, registration forms, prize ribbons, award certificates and signs are just a few of the items that a printing services provider can prepare for an event like this.
This event, which will be held from August 1 until 4, will be taking place at 4545 Williams Boulevard in Kenner. The Visit Jefferson Parish website can be consulted for more information.
