Spooky season parade helps Baton Rouge celebrate

A Halloween parade is in the works in Baton Rouge for next month, creating a fun setting for area residents to meet and celebrate the spooky season.

The 15th Annual Halloween Parade, presented by the Fifolet Halloween Festival, has an official date on the calendar, bringing the Baton Rouge community together to get into the spirit of the season. The parade is the main event of the festival, and organizers anticipate thousands of costumed participants taking part in the spectacle.

Guests can expect to see dozens of decorated floats, music, and loads of candy. The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank truck will lead the way, kicking off the parade while collecting nonperishable food goods from attendees in the crowd. The event is geared toward interested parties of all ages and includes a Family Zone at 7th and Convention. Banner printing is an ideal way to promote the parade’s sponsors and generate impressions on attendees.

Costumes are encouraged, and visitors are welcome to bring a bag to store the candy they collect from the floats in. Floats will compete for several awards, including Best Float Decor, Best Throws, Most Fun, and Best Music.

The Halloween parade will be held in downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, October 18 with the festivities starting at 4:00 PM. The parade is free to attend, and interested parties can find more information online.
