A long-lasting music group will be bringing its show to Baton Rouge in early July.
Blue Oyster Cult came together in the late 1960s, with the debut record being published in 1972. The founding group consisted of brothers Albert and Joe Bouchard, Eric Bloom, Allen Lanier, and Donald Roeser. Bloom and Roeser are still with the band today. Danny Miranda, Richie Castellano, and Jules Radino fill out the current line-up. The group identifies themselves as being in the genre of classic rock. Some of the hits released include “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” “Florida Man,” “Astronomy,” “Fireworks,” “Dancin’ In The Ruins,” “Cities On Flame With Rock And Roll,” “Lips In The Hills,” and “That Was Me.”
The concert will be located at the Raising Cane’s River Center. Venue policy requires any bag brought in to be made of clear material. Tickets for the show range in price from $39.50 to $89.50 and are all general admission. Events like this one often have merchandise from the acts involved being sold between the door and the stage. These items have a graphic design printed on them. Accessible seating is available at the venue, however, the number of these is limited. Tickets can be bought through the River Road Box Office or online at Ticketmaster.
The show is set to kick off between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm on July 9.
