University in Southgate area to offer scholarships

Two new scholarships are being established by the Northern Kentucky University Haile College of Business for those that are in the Construction Management program.

These scholarships are a part of the program of Lifelong Investment and Future Transformation (LIFT). The university started this program four years ago. Students residing in Southgate who are interested in this program may benefit from such funding.

One of the scholarships is endowed by the Advisory Board of the Haile College of Business Construction Management while Paul and Mary Hemmer and the Paul Hemmer Company are endowing the other. The Hemmers and the Board are committing $50,000 towards the scholarships and an investment made by the Butler and Boehne families is matching the LIFT Scholars Program one-to-one. This will bring the total of the scholarships to $100,000 in perpetuity.

Dean of the Haile College of Business, Dr. Hassan HassabElnaby, said the demand for professionals in the construction industry continues to grow so these new scholarships demonstrate the commitment of the university to this need in the workforce. HassabElnaby added that these scholarships help remove financial barriers for students.

More information and details about such scholarships and eligibility for them is often provided with brochure printing.

The LIFT Scholars Program was set up for students demonstrating exceptional academic potential and achievement but who may not be able to complete a program and graduate.
