New mixed-use development to come to Southgate area

Ground has been broken on a new multi-million-dollar riverfront development in Covington.

What was once the site of an IRS business will be replaced with condominiums, 10 single-family homes, and a mixed-use development. This may be of interest to those living in nearby Southgate.

The president of Funke Real Estate Group, Jody Funke, said that in addition to the single-family homes there will be two mixed-use buildings. On the first floor, these will be commercial spaces, while the second floor will consist of residential condominiums.

Funke added that three of the homes are already under contract and construction on the first home will begin by the end of the month. The single-family homes will be three stories tall and will have three bedrooms, along with a garage accommodating two cars. Prices for these homes will range from $725,000 to about $920,000.

A coffee shop from Cincinnati will be part of this new development. Funke expressed excitement that Black Coffee will be part of the commercial space, positioned at the corner of Fourth and Russell Streets.

Such sites can benefit from banner printing to inform those in a city and neighboring communities of such significant projects.

Funke added that this project will help to shape a new walkable and vibrant community where people can work, live, and thrive, and that it will strengthen the city and the area for many years to come.
