Northern Kentucky aquarium opens celebratory exhibit

The Newport Aquarium is opening a new exhibit as one of the celebratory events of its 20th anniversary. Residents of nearby Southgate will most likely want to see this 13-tank exhibit called “Freshwater Falls”. Special exhibits such as this one often use poster printing for promotional purposes.

The focus of the exhibit is what would be seen by people in waterfalls and streams across the globe. There will be a cross section of a waterfall showing a waterfall in Central America with brightly colored cichlid fish.

Also, on display will be a cascading stream representative of the Congo,
highlighting animals from West Africa, such as the elephant-nose fish
and the lungfish. This means attendees can better identify with these
natural wonders, there will be a realistic tunnel like that in Kentucky
underneath which people will be able to walk.

The Executive Director of the Newport Aquarium, Eric Rose, commented that the rush of a waterfall is most invigorating while the sounds of water flowing down a stream is extremely soothing. He added that

“the movement of the water draws us to these places, but the rippling surface often hides the real wonder that lies beneath.”

The aquarium is having a sale on annual passes and letting one child in for free with each adult priced admission through February 28.
