Downtown Main Library now opened

The first floor of the Main Library in downtown Cincinnati is now opened to the public. Residents of Southgate may want to visit and check out the Books and other services.

Poster printing is usually called upon for announcements such as this one as people are looking for different kinds of recreational activities.

This is the first location in Hamilton County and in the Public Library System of Cincinnati to re-open. The library is waiving fines on any materials taken out for the rest of the year. Paula Brehm-Heeger, director of the library, added that several safety protocols will be in place for those interested in coming to the library.

Among the services that will be made available in the library will be computer sessions with printing available on a first-come, first-serve basis; scanning, faxing, copying, and printing services; and charging stations for charging personal devices.

Over the next two weeks, the libraries in College Hill, Mariemont, Madisonville, and Forest Park among others will be opening, while the beginning of next month will see the opening of libraries in Green Township, Mt. Washington, Miami Township, and Reading in addition to several others. Libraries in Wyoming, Walnut Hills, Oakley and Hyde park will be opening today, Monday July 20.

Hours of operation are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
