Traveling Vietnam War memorial to stop in London

The Vietnam War memorial in Washington holds deep meaning for many, and a traveling exhibit will provide London residents with an opportunity to pay their respects.

The AVTT Traveling Wall will be stopping at Wildcat Harley Davidson for four days, and it will be open 24 hours a day to those who would like to visit. The Wall is a scale model of the permanent one in Washington D.C., so may be especially appreciated by anyone who cannot travel to see the memorial in person

The current plan is for an escort to accompany the wall when it arrives, and a locator service will be available from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm to help anyone who needs assistance in finding a name. Everyone can stay as long as they wish. Anyone who would like to get involved or has questions is asked to call 606-862-5656.

To help make this meaningful event a success, the organizers are reaching out to volunteers. Corporate Gifts can be a way to show those who lend a hand with an activity that their support is appreciated. Area printers will have a large selection to choose from.

The AVTT Traveling Wall will be set up at 575 Hal Rogers Parkway in London. It will be on site for the public to experience from September 2 at 12:00 pm until September 5 at 3:00 pm.
