At the end of September, the Cardinal division of the March of Dimes held a luncheon to recognize and thank the London businesses and residents that donated to its programs this year.
The organization was able to raise more than $32,000 during its annual Walk for Babies. The goal was $35,000, but a few unforeseen events, such as a downpour on the day of the event, prevented the March of Dimes from reaching that target.
Although turnout for the event was lower than anticipated, plenty of people still put on their walking shoes and took part. The organization could consider distributing a number of Promotional Products, such as umbrellas printed with the March of Dimes logo, to encourage more people to participate, even if it rains next year.
Among the top donors to the organization was the Kmart store in London, which raised more than $7,000 for the event. Hearthside Food Solutions was another top donor in the London area. The company held a number of fundraising events in house during the spring, collecting more than $4,500 for the March of Dimes. On the individual level, Betty Beckner was given the Top Walker award and recognized for raising a considerable sum. Other donors included local radio stations Mix 96 and The Bandit 101.9, as well as local paper The Sentinel-Echo.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
