A London event will offer a taste of a golf tournament experience next month, but on a much smaller scale.
The Laurel County Chamber of Commerce provides its membership with services and supports all year long, and one of its events will be all about having fun. Its 12th annual Putt Putt Scramble is right around the order, and it will be on offer at Levi Jackson Wilderness Road Park Miniature Golf Course.
Each registration package admits four players, and lunch will be provided as well. Local companies that would like to add their name to the list of sponsors can do so now, and those who choose this option will be able to show their community spirit to both potential customers and the general public alike. Tickets are $200 per team of four, and individual hole sponsorships start at $150.
While the day will be all about having a great time while cementing old friendships and creating new ones, it also has higher purpose. The proceeds will be donated to an area charitable cause. A poster printing company will be able to include special details about community events in the materials they prepare for the public.
The Putt Putt Scramble will see players enjoy mini golf on August 12. Tee-off time is 10:00 am, and everyone is invited to form a team and sign up now.
