The artwork of hundreds of students from schools in the area around London and South Laurel is on prominently displayed at a current art show.
A total of 300 artworks line the halls of South Laurel High School during its third annual show. The pieces range from drawings to paintings and from sculptures to textiles. This year is the largest the show has even been and features the largest number of works, building on the 228 pieces displayed last year.
Students in all grade levels, from kindergarten through seniors in high school, are participating in the show. Works come from students at elementary schools including London Elementary, Sublimity and Hunter Hills Elementary, as well as from South Laurel Middle School and South Laurel High School.
The annual art show is part exhibition, part contest. Two former art teachers will judge the works on display, and one student in each grade division will receive the ‘Best in Show’ award. There are also three ‘Outstanding Artist’ awards for each category and in each division. The school could use Stationery printing to produce certificates for each of the student winners.
Running until this Friday, March 18, the art show is open during school hours from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm. People can also view the works from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm on Thursday and Friday. The high school will be putting on a production of The Little Mermaid during those hours.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
