While the holidays are a time to celebrate for many, an upcoming London activity is aiming to help those who may not have food on their table.
Several community partners will be joining forces to fill 1,200 Thanksgiving Boxes for distribution throughout the London area, and all help will be welcomed. The project will take place at God’s Pantry Food Bank, and those interested can participate either at home or online.
The activity will be broken up into three sessions, and registrants can choose the one that is best for their personal schedule. The charitable effort expected to be quite popular, and everyone looking to contribute will need to be at least 13 years of age. Along with London, the Boxes will be delivered throughout the regional area, and they will each be filled with food and other essentials. There is a registration fee being charged, and a portion of this will be tax deductible.
Getting involved with a community service project may be very satisfying. To thank those who rolled up their sleeves to help fill the Thanksgiving Boxes, long-sleeved tees featuring a special graphic design will be given to each registrant.
This Basket Brigade activity will be helping to make Thanksgiving happier for the community, and is scheduled for Saturday, November 4. Time slots start at 8:00am, 10:00am and 12:00pm respectively, and the in-person packing will take place at 1215 East 4th Street in London.Get a Free Quote for Boxes
