London parade to add extra fun to holiday season

Santa Claus is coming to town, and to celebrate, a London parade will be lighting up the December sky.

The 30th Randy Smith Christmas on Main parade is fast approaching, and the whole city is welcome to get in on the excitement. Whether they plan to drive a fancy car, a fun golf cart, or just ride their lawn mower decorated for the occasion, everyone can participate. All that is needed is a vehicle and a sense of fun.

The organizers noted that anyone who would like to get involved is asked to submit and entry form, and the lineup and other festivities will begin at 5:00 pm. The procession itself will depart at 7:00 pm, and with everything from decorated floats to fire trucks decked out with lots of lights taking part, it will no doubt be a fun kickoff to the 2019 holiday season.

By creating an experience that involves the whole city, this sort of function can play a role in building a strong community. Anyone who plans on entering a holiday parade can source a wide selection of decorations, including a cheery banner, from a local banner printing business.

This tradition has been part of the London holiday season celebrations for the past 30 years, and is set to take to the streets of Downtown London on Saturday, December 6. More details, including an entry form, are available on the city’s website.
