Saint Joseph London hospital recently announced plans to expand in the coming years. The 150-bed hospital wants to add a new 60,000-square-foot Medical Office Building sometime in 2020.
The building will be two stories and will include a primary care practicing, diagnostic imaging, clinical laboratory, cardiology and pulmonary testing, and rehabilitation and specialty care practices.
Healthcare facilities that have plans to grow can use banner printing to keep the public up to date on the project and the work being done.
Currently, the healthcare center is in in the middle of initial preparation for construction. Constructions crews are about to start preparing the part of the parking lot that will be the staging site for construction. During the building of the addition, parking on the site will be affected.
Although the reduction in parking might be an inconvenience for patients during construction, the leaders of Saint Joseph London believe that the work will pay off.
Speaking to the Sentinel Echo, the healthcare center's president, Terry Deis, said:
"We're excited to be able to make all these services available on our campus. The addition of this new Medical Office Building will make accessing affordable, quality medical care in London more convenient for the families and communities we serve."
At some point during the next few months, a kickoff event for the project will take place. The exact date has yet to be announced.
