London fire department seeks new members

Firefighters work hard to help to keep their communities safe, and the London Fire Department is seeking new members to join its ranks.

The department noted that it is currently accepting applications from those who are interested in becoming a full- or part-time firefighter. These future community heroes will be asked to write a written test, and they will also need to pass a criminal background check.

To aid people in deciding if this is a career that is right for them, the department has created a job description. Each applicant will need to be at least 18 years of age, be a U.S. citizen, have their driver’s licence and high school diploma and have a valid CPAT Certification. In addition to their written test, the applicants will also be asked to sit for an in-person interview and meet the other criteria set for the position.

The demands of firefighting mean it is not always easy to find the right person for the job. A poster printing company can help to spread the world that positions are advisable, and these can be posted throughout the community.

The London Fire Department will be accepting applications until August 21, and the written test has been scheduled for August 26. This will take place at its location at 911 Fire Rescue Drive in London.
