London event to light up the night

Local households and businesses alike are encouraged to showcase their creative talents by taking part in this year’s Lights Around London.

This will be the fifth year that this winter holiday event has been held, and the charity of choice for the tour will be Shop with a Cop. Dozens of entries have been on the list in previous years, and the organizers are counting on 2024 to be just as impressive.

Those who add their address to the list will be asked to leave their lighted displays and other decor up from December 1 to 31. A map of the locations will be prepared so they will be easy for the public to find, and there will be several categories for the participants to select from in the friendly competition. Residents can choose their favorites, and they will be asked to pay $1 for each vote. They may vote more than once.

To help keep the function organized, each participant will receive a sign for their property. A poster printing company will be happy to prepare custom designed materials for use during a special event like this.

The cost to register a business or organization for the annual Lights Around London activity is $50, while homeowners will be asked to pay $25. Further information is available on the Visit London KY website.
