Santa is set to make a stop in London this December, and some of his elves will be arriving ahead of time to lend a hand with those seasonal gift wrapping chores.
The Laurel County Extension Office will make it easier for parents and guardians to wrap gifts in secret by running a session of Santa’s Gift Wrapping Station. It will be open for eight hours, and tickets are $10 each.
Participants will be invited to sit in on a demonstration of techniques that can take a wrapped present from plain to pretty, and everyone can bring the gifts they would like to wrap and arrive at a time that best fits their personal schedule. Each participant will receive a set of supplies, including one roll of wrapping paper, and the activity is intended for those age 18 and up.
A group gift wrap may give the public a way to add some extra excitement to the holiday season. Gift tags and other materials that may be helpful to have on hand during a special event can be crafted by area Stationery printers.
The Laurel County Extension Office, which is located at 200 County Extension Road, will be “wrapping up” December with this session planned for Tuesday, December 19. It will be open from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Guests have until the day before the event to sign up.
