CASA program to benefit from London golf outing

The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) initiative has plans in the works for an outing that may put a smile on the faces of London golfers.

The program and the kids it helps will be the beneficiaries of the CASA of Clay, Knox, and Laurel Golf Scramble, and the registration fee for the activity is $50. Tee-off time will be in the morning, and those who are interested are welcome to sign up on their own or as part of a team of four.

Each registrant in the fundraiser will receive several perks to thank them for their support. Their green fees will be covered, and they will receive the use of a powered golf cart as well as beverages and snacks. Lunch is also included in the registration fee, and the catering for the day will be supplied by Texas Roadhouse.

Along with all the other fun, the top three teams on the day will receive awards that boast a special graphic design. The proceeds raised through this community activity will be used to facilitate training for CASA volunteers.

This opportunity for local golfers to enjoy themselves out on the course is scheduled for Saturday, July 1. Tee-off time is set for 9:00 am, and the registration desk will begin checking in players at 8:00 am.
