Unique dining in dark experience in Lexington

A memorable dining experience is coming to Lexington with the goal of helping diners experience a sightless meal for a good cause.

The Bluegrass Council of the Blind’s Dining in the Dark is returning to Lexington in a few weeks, providing an entertaining dinner experience under a blindfold for interested parties to build empathy and support a good cause. The dinner will provide each attendee with a look into the lives of individuals in the community who are affected by vision impairment.

It will be the second iteration of the event, with the 2024 version being a rousing success. The 2025 iteration will be expanding to allow more guests to attend, dine, and socialize. Organizers will provide experience stations to provide more insight into what the vision impaired community experiences. Business Cards are an excellent way to make new connections and introductions with like-minded individuals at such events.

The goal of this year’s event is to provide immersive experiences while raising awareness and generating funds to support the community. The dinner menu will be announced as the dining experience gets closer.

The Hyatt Regency Lexington will be the host site for the dinner and fundraiser on Friday, April 11th. Doors will open at 6:30 PM, and the dinner will end at 9:00 PM. Tickets start at $85 per person online.
