Nature-themed film festival set to open in Lexington

Film enthusiasts and nature lovers will ‌want to leave space in the agenda next month, as a film festival with a nature theme will be opening in Lexington.

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival is coming to Lexington for the Kentucky leg of its summer tour in August, showing the year’s best films on outdoor activism and adventure. Organizers have curated an impressive arsenal of 10 short films, with visitors also enjoying the opportunity to win door prizes and participate in an online auction.

The festival will double as a fundraiser benefitting the Kentucky Conservation Committee. Several companies are sponsoring this fundraising film festival, including Wild Birds Unlimited Lexington, Oakford Multimedia, Solar Energy Solutions, and Republic Bank. Promoters can use banner printing to welcome visitors to the festival, using the extra space on the banner to showcase these sponsors and create positive brand impressions.

Residents who are unable to attend in person will have access to the show through a virtual option. The festival is an ideal evening of entertainment for Lexington residents to gather through a shared love of nature and conservation in Kentucky.

The Kentucky Conservation Committee, located on East Main Street in Lexington, will host the festival, which has an official date of Friday, August 28th. The doors open at 7:00 PM. In-person and virtual tickets are available online, starting at $15 per guest.
