Bakers and Lexington residents who are looking for a fun way to learn and grow during the holiday season will be excited that a cookie decorating class is set to begin.
The Sugar Cookie Decorating Class: Christmas, which is being organized by the Local Lex Market, has opened registration to interested parties who want to learn more about the strategies and techniques behind decorating sugar cookies for the holidays. The class will be led by The Traveling Cupcake, and the hour-and-a-half-long session will cover icing and cookie recipes, as well as the most effective strategies for applying icing.
The session is geared toward beginners who want to gain more knowledge and hands-on experience, as well as interested parties who are curious about the decorating and icing process. Brochure printing can be an effective medium for such workshops, offering space for recipes and instructions that allow students to continue learning from home.
All baking and icing materials will be provided, included in the enrollment cost, along with a box in which to take decorated cookies home to share. Spots are limited to 20 people, and reservations are on a first come, first served basis.
The Local Lex Market on Southland Drive will host the decorating workshop. It is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM on Friday, December 19. Tickets are $64.17 per person online.
