As a gesture of love and appreciation, Ada & Lo, a neighboring gift shop, allocated 10% of their sales for the month of February to support McLeod's Coffee House in Lexington.
Since 2019, McLeod's Coffee has been creating opportunities for individuals under its operation. The business was started by Brewster McLeod, a former pastor at Southland Christian Church, with the goal of extending aid to people with special needs. Brochure printing can be used to promote such charitable projects.
McLeod's mission to aid people with special needs began 23 years ago when he arranged a dance event to bring joy to the disabled community. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the coffee house has managed to persevere and is currently making strides in ensuring accessibility for people with special needs. Such efforts have garnered recognition from other business owners, including those at Ada & Lo, located a few doors down.
Speaking to Lex18.com, Carol Worsham from Ada & Lo explained how important the coffee shop is to community, and that her business wants to help other local non-profits too.
At the end of March, the community's dedication to McLeod's work bore fruit in the form of a handwritten check, serving as the culmination of their efforts. The check showcased the community's appreciation for the work being done by McLeod and his team.
