Reindeer Ramble, a holiday-themed run, will return to Lexington next month. The event has been a city staple for the past 15 years.
Participants will have the choice of running or walking a 5K or 10K race. There will be virtual and in-person options available, with in-person options starting at Keeneland Racecourse. Participants can register as individuals or as part of a team, and everyone is encouraged to run in festive costumes.
At the end of the event, awards will be handed out to top finishers and teams with the best costumes. Each runner will also receive a race T-shirt. These shirts are often made with the help of local Print shops to help commemorate the event.
Proceeds from the event will go into helping children get into summer camp. Event organizers recognize that not all families can afford summer camps for their children, so the event is designed to make these camps more accessible.
Reindeer Ramble will take place on December 11 and will start at 9:00 AM. Registration to the event is $35 and $40 for the 5K and 10K options, now that the $5 discount in place for bookings before November 15 has passed. Any group registering as teams of five will also receive a discount for each member. The start location for the race is at 4201 Versailles Road.
