Food hall and gaming facility moves forward in Lexington

The University of Kentucky Cornerstone Building in Lexington will open completely this spring with a food hall with seven restaurants in food stalls, gaming area, and esports arena. It will be for campus staff, students, and the community in Lexington.

The Cornerstone has a 23,000 square foot first floor and a parking garage with over 900 spaces, and its food hall is located near the entrance. A Cup of Commonwealth will open this month, which will be a coffee shop that serves coffee, tea, soda, sandwiches, and pastries.

Rolling Oven, a pizza restaurant and bar, will be moving in along with several local restaurants in the coming weeks. They rest will open in the spring.

The esports theater will have 12 gaming chairs, a long table, and grandstand that seats 100 people. Gaming matches will be hosted there, with two teams of gamers competing.

There is a media room where students will narrate the games and operate the cameras, which is designed for journalism student to learn to make high-quality productions. This space will be used for gaming and computer classes too.

A gaming lounge with 50 Alienware gaming PCs will allow students and residents to rent time to play. The is an innovation space that can be used as a study hall and for classes.

The Cornerstone opens fully in early spring and is located on 409 S. Limestone. Printers have graphic design departments that design Brochures, maps, and marketing materials for projects like this.
