Food bank organizes box packing for Thanksgiving

God's Pantry Food Bank cordially invites everyone to this year's Sharing Thanksgiving Basket Brigade in association with the Mitchell Family Foundation and PNC Bank.

Participants will have the chance to work together to assemble 5,000 Boxes for Thanksgiving. All the necessities required for the entire family to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal in the familiar surroundings of their homes are included in these Boxes.

To suit differing schedules, this event provides participants with an option of five different shifts. Participants who would rather contribute virtually are also able to register. A family Packaging session has been added as a new feature, where families of two grown-ups and two children can participate during the mid-morning Packaging session, although children younger than 10 will not be able to participate.

Each participant will receive a branded "Basket Brigade" long-sleeved T-shirt as a gift of appreciation. The cost of registration is $30 for individuals ($20 tax deductible), $60 for virtual participants ($50 tax deductible), and $100 for families ($90 tax deductible). Information about upcoming events like this can be shared using poster printing.

Those interested are advised that individual or team space reservations are not available due to the event's popularity. Registration operates on a first come, first served basis. The sessions will be taking place at the Lexington Warehouse on Saturday, November 11.
