Film festival to display cinematic art in Lexington

A film festival is in the works for Lexington residents, focusing on outdoor adventures and nature activism, providing inspiration and enlightenment.

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival 2024 will begin in the coming weeks, and outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to attend to find inspiration in the adventures and works of other like-minded people. The festival will air short films showing outdoor adventures throughout Kentucky. The showing is sponsored by the Kentucky Conservation Committee.

In addition to the 11 short films being aired, the film festival will also provide fun games and door prizes for registered guests. An online auction will also be part of the event, allowing interested parties to make bids on items and goods that stand out to them. Poster printing is an excellent way to raise awareness of the festival while providing souvenirs to attendees.

The film festival's money will go to the Kentucky Conservation Committee, which will use it to protect and promote wildlife statewide. Individuals who cannot attend the venue can attend via virtual showing from the comfort of home. Guests can bring drinks and snacks to remain comfortable throughout the festival.

The Farish Theater at the Central Library will host the showing on Friday, August 30. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the show ends at 9:30 PM. Tickets cost $20 per attendee and can be reserved online.
