Community health fostered at conference

The Kentucky Association of Community Health Workers (KYACHW) will be hosting its annual conference in Lexington next month. KYACHW members and non-members are invited to register in advance for the event.

The theme for the sixth annual conference will be to create healthier communities throughout Kentucky by building resilience in the local population. The conference will include guest speakers and presentations about vaccinations, harm reduction, self-care treatments, and best practices and strategic planning for community health workers. Attendees will be guided through breakout sessions, be given time for networking, and can peruse the vendor and sponsor booths at the event.

Vendors are still needed for this event, and may register on the Eventbrite listing. The cost to participate is $300, with meals and snacks provided for one person during the conference. Vendors may sell merchandise, and may also distribute Brochures and Promotional Products as desired.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with packages available from $750 up to $5,000. Sponsors will be provided with private booths, and meals and snacks for one representative at the conference.

The 2021 KYACHW Conference will be held on Thursday, September 23 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and on Friday, September 24 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Registration must be completed in advance.
