Greener Grove in Downers Grove will be hosting several events this month and next. Residents of nearby Oakbrook Terrace who are interested in plants and having an impact on the environment might want to attend such events.
Local printing services can be used to promote such events throughout a town and its neighboring communities.
Tom Eisenhart, landscape architect and member of Greener Grove, will present a talk on the “Introduction to Native Plants,” which will cover how native plants can be used in a home landscape. This is the monthly meeting of Greener Grove and will take place at the Downers Grove Public Library on Curtiss Street in Downers Grove, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm next Tuesday, March 26.
Greener Grove will also be holding several events for Earth Week next month. The first will be a Sustainable Wine Presentation at the Downers Grove Public Library and Cellar Door, which will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, April 19. The next day there will be a Treeplenish Tree Planting at Downers Grove North High School beginning at noon, followed by an Organic Garden Walk in downtown Downers Grove at 2:00 pm.
The culminating event to be held for Earth Week will be a Common Ground Film Screening on Monday, April 22 at the Tivoli Theater at 7:30 pm.
