New suburban locations of Shake Shack will be opening in Schaumburg and Oak Brook, the latter of which is close enough to Oakbrook Terrace that many from this community will want to try out the eatery’s popular shakes, fries and burgers.
The location near Oakbrook Terrace will be on Spring Road, east of Oakbrook Center, and will be opening later this year. The Schaumburg location will be in the Woodfield Gatherings outlet development, where there is also a Naf Naf Grill, MOD Pizza, and Honeygrow, and will be opening in Spring 2019.
On its menu are chicken sandwiches, flat-top beef hot dogs, burgers made from all-natural Angus beef, and crinkle cut fries. For beverages, there are its signature frozen custard concretes and shakes, as well as a selection of beer and wine.
Among its specialty shakes for the holiday season are Christmas Cookie; frozen custard with a sugar cookie flavor; chocolate frozen custard blended with peppermint and topped with whipped cream and candy crumbles made from chocolate peppermint; and crumbled shortbread with green and red sprinkles.
This makes for a total of 180 locations of the chain in this country and around the world.
