The Hinsdale Humane Society, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and adoption of homeless animals, and located just a short distance from Oakbrook Terrace, will be holding two family-centered activities this month.
The first is an afternoon of paddle tennis at the Katherine Legge Memorial Park. It will be a tournament event of Men’s Doubles that will compete to name the next litter of puppies to arrive at the Society. The tournament is limited to the first 12 teams that register. There will be snacks, pizza, beverages, and beer for the players and their families. Spectators also invited to attend. This event will take place on Sunday, March 15 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The second is photographs with the Easter Bunny at Two Bostons Pet Boutique in the Burr Ridge Village Center. Pictures will be taken of children and their families, along with pets and the Easter bunny. The Society is asking for donations for this event, which will take place on Friday March 20 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In addition to caring for unwanted and abandoned animals, the Hinsdale Humane Society is an advocate for public service and education to encourage the compassionate treatment of animals and a voice for companion animals for people dependent on their care.
Poster printing is one way that the Society can communicate to the public its upcoming events and mission.
