Those who have just moved to the Clarendon Hills, Willowbrook, Burr Ridge, Oakbrook Terrace, Westmont, and Hinsdale area and want to meet people in the community can head to the Newcomers and Neighbors Fall Kickoff Luncheon Meeting later this month.
Newcomers and Neighbors is a non-profit social club that hosts many weekly activities, and has a calendar of opportunities for people to meet and develop new friendships. Some of these include golf for women twice a week, and golf for men once a week.
There are also special activities groups that encourage members to become part of the community. One of these is Bunco, which is played with three dice and teams of two and is held once a month on the first Thursday.
Another is a cooking group that meets to have fun preparing meals together. This group meets four times a year, usually on a Friday, starting at 10:30 am and ending once the lunch prepared has been eaten.
Most likely Newcomers and Neighbors is turning to a Print company in the area to Print Invitations and get the word out about the luncheon so as to encourage as many people as possible to learn about the benefits of the organization.
